Handmade porcelain teacup inspired by Jamaica's Giant Swallowtail Butterfly. Butterfly wings are made separately and attached to the body of the cup. It is then glazed and fired, and re-fired to add the 18k gold, palladium or mother of pearl lustres.
These butterflies are one of the largest in the hemisphere and currently endangered due to loss of habitat. It is important to us to bring attention to causes close to our heart, and preserving the natural beauty of our World so that our children can enjoy it is much as we have is something we believe in.
