Shipping Policy

General Information

Before leaving our studio, each item is checked for quality then carefully packaged in bubblewrap, tissue and boxed in heavy duty corrugated mailing boxes or tubes. This ensures the item arrives safely. However, we unfortunately cannot control what happens in transit and regrettably we are unable to offer returns at this time due to shipping and handling. 

We consolidate and ship on Tuesdays & Fridays. In-stock items are packaged for shipping on those days immediately after payment is cleared. Special order items ship out as quickly as we can make them, please allow up to 3-6 weeks depending on the scope of work involved and current workload in the studio.

After payment confirmation and purchase is finalized, a shipment notification with tracking information will be emailed to the email address submitted with the order. Once we have shipped your order, BAUGHaus Design Studio is not responsible for loss, damages or delays. All additional duties, fees, or taxes incurred upon receipt of the item is the responsibility of the customer. Additionally, custom orders are non-refundable. 

Regrettably we are unable to ship to PO Boxes and are not liable for lost or stolen packages. Additional shipping charges resulting from packages returned to BAUGHaus Design Studio due to customer absence, errors in shipping addresses or package refusal will be your responsibility. If you happen to change your mind and refuse a shipment from us, you remain responsible for all original shipping charges, the cost of returning the package to us and a restocking fee. We will subtract this amount from your merchandise credit, if any.

Due to governing laws in Jamaica, all products include a 16.5% tax (GCT), regardless of country of final destination. Any additional fees or taxes incurred outside of Jamaica has not been accounted for in the pricing.

Locally, studio pickup is available. If you live in Jamaica and would like to pick up your order at our studio, please indicate that in delivery option at checkout. We do charge a minimal handling/packing fee. Payments must be processed prior to pick-up and we will send you an email when your order is ready to be picked up at our studio. Items purchased are held in our studio for 15 days before we consider it abandoned. Abandoned merchandise is subject to a 20% restocking fee.

Studio Pick-up - by customer

 

You have the option to use Knutsford Express or TARA Courier Services to ship your items or pick-up at our studio location in Savanna-la-mar. We consolidate and ship on Tuesdays & Fridays**. Please make sure that we are shipping your order to a secure location. We cannot take responsibility for stolen packages.

Local Postal Service - starting at US$12.00

DHL Express (2 day door-to-door shipping) - starting at US$22.00

 

All international orders are shipped via your Local Postal Service Registered Express Mail or DHL Express (your choice) within 5 business days of making and confirming your purchase; unless otherwise noted. Please note, special order items ship out as quickly as we can make them, please allow up to 3-6 weeks depending on the scope of work involved and current workload in the studio. 

Once a purchase is made, you will be notified of the exact shipping date and sent the shipment notification with tracking number(s). If a package fails to reach you in a timely manner, please refer to the shipping notification sent upon shipment. 

All international orders are insured for the value of the merchandise and require a signature at delivery. Please ensure that we are shipping your order to a secure location. We cannot take responsibility for stolen packages.

Orders can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks for delivery depending on the speed of your local post and customs office. Please note that your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You may be required to pay all additional charges for customs clearance. You should contact your local customs office for further information. We do not mark merchandise shipped overseas as a gift, sample or otherwise lie about the product’s value to avoid or reduce customs fees. However, there are several trade agreements that allow items of a certain value originating in Jamaica to be imported into the USA, Canada, UK and other Caribbean (CARICOM) islands Duty Free. We would love to hand deliver all of our orders, unfortunately they have not invented the travel machine just yet! Therefore, once we have handed over your order to the shipper we are no longer responsible for loss, damages or delays. Although your item may be insured, you agree to accept the risk of loss and title for that merchandise upon our delivery of your package to the carrier. BAUGHaus Design Studio is not liable for lost or stolen packages and releases responsibility upon transfer of order to the shipping carrier and will not be held responsible for additional shipping charges incurred if packages are returned to our store due to customer absence, errors in shipping addresses or package refusal. If you refuse any shipments from us, you remain responsible for all original shipping charges, duties, taxes, customs incurred on the package (original and return shipments) and the cost of returning the package to us. We will subtract this amount from your merchandise credit, if any.
